After revamping the visual style of this blog, I was enticed to take a step back in time and re-read the majority of everything I've posted over the past couple of years.

This raised the question: Was I being nostalgic, or just plain narcissistic? (or perhaps a little bit of both?)

Regardless, it was interesting to observe how I have changed, and what has remained the same.

I gave the ol' blog a facelift. It's much more soothing, don't you think? Yeah, I thought so too.

SO, the season finale of the Office was OUTSTANDING. *spoiler alert* Although there were a couple of disappointments, there were just as many things that redeemed it. It was cool to see one of the characters from The WIre make a successful debut on one of my favorite shows. (I've been watching The Wire lately, even though I normally detest crime dramas) I think the 'miscommunication' between her and Kevin had to be one of the best plot points of any show I've ever seen.....ever.

In other news, I am completely sold on RSS. I don't know why I was so slow to adopt. It completely changed the way I browse the internet. (honestly) Well, I guess that's about it for now.

Oh yeah, and the new Death Cab album has (so far) proven to be a worthwhile purchase. I'm not sure if I like it as much as the last 3 records, but It's only been a few days. I'm not going to rush into any harsh conclusions. However, I will say that "Cath" is a brilliant song.

Wow! So my Lost marathon is finally over. I'm caught up. Now it's a painstaking game of hurry up and wait.

Tonight was the return of The Office and Scrubs. It was glorious. (The Office was better though...)

I was scheduled to play a gig with a singer named Graham Colton, but after learning the entire 12 song set, it became an acoustic show. However, I'm still getting compensated, so it worked out alright. I still got to go down to Norman and see my friends. I ended up picking up weekend drumming duty at LifeChurch in OKC w/ Jarod and Brine. Plus, I will most likely still be playing with Graham in the future at some point. That means more gigs, and it also means that I didn't learn the songs for nothing.

Other than that, things have been pretty uneventful. I'm still scouring the Earth for the next chapter. It will come in time, but I've been blessed in the meantime*.

In other news, I hear that Yellow Second is back together, kinda. They have a show listed on the myspace. That made me happy. Scott shouldn't be music-less. He's too talented.
